EAPES Island Zones

Spatial Organization of Digital Environments within EAPES Island

EAPES Island is organized as a structured digital environment composed of distinct zones, each designed to support different forms of interaction, presence, and participation. This zonal structure allows the ecosystem to remain modular and adaptable while offering varied experiential contexts across the island.

The division of EAPES Island into zones is the result of a deliberate design process focused on usability, coherence, and long-term evolution. Each zone is defined by specific environmental characteristics and interaction models, enabling users to engage with digital spaces in ways that align with their interests and participation preferences.

Zones within EAPES Island are categorized into four primary types:

  • Residential Coastal Zones Designed as digital living environments that emphasize presence, personalization, and experiential interaction within coastal-themed settings.

  • Residential Inland Zones Structured as alternative living environments with distinct spatial characteristics, supporting customization, exploration, and participation across inland digital landscapes.

  • Experience Zones Dedicated to interactive environments that support exploration, creative expression, and participatory experiences without positioning activities as commercial or transactional.

  • HUB Zones Function as structured interaction and connectivity areas, enabling collaboration, experimentation, and interoperability across applications and digital environments within the ecosystem.

This zonal framework enables EAPES Island to support diverse participation models while maintaining consistency with its identity, utility, and non-financial design principles.
